Eliminate Between-Meal Snacks!

"The only thing is that, except for telling one friend who is now also on the diet, I have had to keep it to myself. I'm afraid most people will think I've lost my mind. However, truth be told, my thin fiancé eats this way. All those svelte girlfriends who can eat anything they want (the ones we call "B*tches" behind their backs because we're so jealous), they eat this way! 

Suddenly it all makes sense to me. It hasn't been my lack of
discipline -- all along I thought I was a horrible person because I couldn't stick to a diet. But it's not me: your way of eating has practically given me an inoculation against hunger, snacking, cravings, and "emotional eating.

 I cannot believe that a plate of brownies has no appeal for me
when I am bored, because I'm not hungry and my nutritional needs are being met. I can wait and have a small one later for dessert. (In the past I would've wolfed 5 or 6 down at 3pm out of craving.) I have made a vow that ** I ** am going to be one of!"

Better Skin!

"I have something else interesting to share with you..........  My skin is softer and smoother.  I always noticed that European women's skin was so nice with very few wrinkles.  I swear it has to do with the additional fat and oils that they eat now, because I notice it on my face and skin, too.  An additional bonus!!!!!!  (Just that discovery alone would cause many women to add more fat and oils to their diets.)  So, the benefits to eating this way are really numerous, aren't they?

The Joy of Eating!

"I think that the greatest thing that the “French Diet” (as I call it), has done for me is to take away the guilt and restore the joy of eating.  I no longer, as I savor each bite, have the bad conscience nag sitting on my left shoulder saying “Sure, it tastes good now, but you’ll regret it tomorrow!”

There are other differences that the French diet has it made in my life.   I look forward to each meal.  I still spend lots more time thinking of food than I should, but now instead of trying to figure out what I can eat that will satisfy me, curb my cravings, and not taste like cardboard, I spend the time daydreaming about what I will eat at my next meal!!

….and I am happier, thinner, proud of my fifty-year old body."

Lose Weight!

"I had received your book around xmas last year and at the beginning of the year started following most of your suggestions.  I have lost 21 lbs since January and according to my new doctor that is great - he doesn't want me to loose more than 3 lbs each month as he believes that's the weight you keep off.  
Health is great otherwise, no calcium in the heart, blood pressure at a good level and cholesterol at a 3% overall level."
